Fourth Passage of the Autumn Moon
New Jedda Hangs On
Despite the fact that the Jeddan naval fleet returning with the Kaelen princess made a stop to firebomb the new settlement, New Jedda, founded by the former Emperor of Jedda, is still thriving.
Jeddan diplomats have hastened to explain that the barrage was strictly by order of the Kaelen princess, and that the current Emperor condemned such violence.
The former Emperor fled Jedda and made his new home in an old faerie keep on Teran’s Point. Thus far there have been no signs of docks or ships, but passing merchant vessels say that the keep is always lit at night, and a few have reported contact with the Jeddans.
The former Emperor hopes to create a new province, but thus far seems only able to hold on to his position in the rugged wilderness of Teran’s Point. If he does succeed in building a small port, he would be in a position of great opportunity, as almost all seagoing traffic passes within a stone’s throw of the point.
Many have tried to hold Teran’s Point in the past, but all have failed due to the beasts and untamed wilderness the area is famous for.

Japuran Tigers Still Roam Old World
There have been three sightings by Liramelle huntsmen of the two Japuran tigers which escaped onto the Old World last spring. While the animals haven’t been blamed for any deaths, some in Liramelle are frightened, especially as there have been reports of ‘strange men’, often walking in a pair, who haunt the city at night, asking people odd questions and lurking around businesses which are open late.
Liramelle authorities exhausted their search last moon after endless tracking through the woods. Some felt that the tigers were ‘playing with them’. A bounty has been offered for their capture, dead or alive, but at this point the only person attempting to claim it was merely trying to pass off a carefully sheared black bear hide as a black tiger’s skin.
Authorities in Liramelle insist that there is no danger to visitors, but that any large, black cats should not be approached or disturbed.

Erusha Problems Persist
The strange Jeddan drug Erusha, derived from a jungle mushroom, continues to wreak havoc in Aranor. Authorities now outlaw the selling of the drug, but since it arrives from across the sea, the city guard is having trouble stopping the spread of the drug. Their usual method is to find the creation source – the labs where drugs are created – and attack the problem there. Erusha, however, can be smuggled in with cargoes of wine or ale, and the Aranorian guard estimates that there may be over a hundred addicts, based on the number of people who approach the city healers for aid.
Erusha is an unusual drug in that it confers many health benefits. However, those who become dependent on it often quit their work and have to find new ways to make gold – and too many turn to theft or other illegal means.
The guard is accepting tips and offering rewards to those who disclose the identity of anyone smuggling Erusha into the city.
