Queen Lillian Slays Attacker

Queen Lillian is famous for wandering the streets of Aranor, sometimes unescorted. It’s well known that she is an expert swordswoman, and her arcane powers are said to rival those of the Archmage Cowan Faol. No surprise, then, that when she was attacked last An Tir, she dealt with the situation herself.

"She had attracted some attention in the Merchant District," said Amber, a young woman who witnessed the event. "Some vendors were giving her free samples, and a young gentleman was pleasantly pestering her about securing an audience with Meagan, the Princess of Aranor. Suddenly this huge, rough-looking man with wild eyes started pushing people aside and rushing forward. He had a big axe and looked positively enraged. It all happened so fast! I didn’t think anyone could move quickly enough to stop him, especially in that crowd, but the Queen simply drew her sword and the man stumbled back, clutching at his throat."

Miraculously, no one else was injured. The man was cut in the neck and died soon after guards arrived on the scene. The man remains unidentified, and the Aranorian guard will reward any leads which help to verify his identity.

Masallan Warships Engage with Shavay Vessel

It was the second reported attack by a strange Shavay vessel – this time on Masallan shores. The ship had just landed on the shores of the small port village of Amasa when a scouting party of three Masallan warships sighted it. The Shavay raiders put out to sea without causing any damage in Amasa, and were soon surrounded by the Masallan ships.

The Shavay fought bravely – and to the death – but their ship, along with all aboard, was soon lost beneath the waves. The lack of any survivors ensures that the mystery of these raids will continue. Moraithe, Masalla, and Lantrielle have all made a practice of keeping warships on patrol night and day. Thus far, only Lantrielle has suffered losses, and all three provinces have assured their citizens that no more attacks will be permitted.

Chavis D’Luudran To Sell Lantrielle Slave

Lord D’Luudran was once a Lantrielle noble, but through a series of strange events he was exiled from Lantrielle and is officially a criminal in that province. Now he has come to Aranor and is insisting that he has a genuine Lantrielle slave to sell.

The slave is quite famous, and Lantrielle is insisting that the slave is stolen property, though Lord D’Luudran has presented papers showing that he purchased the slave under Lantrielle law. Ishamae is a Jeddan/Shavay cross, a gifted singer, and is renowned for her beauty, wit, and intelligence. Bidding will begin at one million silver.

The Aranorian guard, who does not allow the selling of slaves upon the Old World, is allowing Lord D’Luudran to hold his auction on a ship a league distant into the ocean. Entrance to the ship and auction, which will include a meal, will cost 200 silver, and is limited to sixty participants.
