Oracle Announces Hiatus

Is this just an excuse for us to get some sun? Of course not! But yes, we’re going to Moraithe – the lot of us. And why? No, not to spend all the gold we’ve been earning off the Oracle, but to serve you even better by getting to the bottom of a most unusual occurrence.

"Everyone’s been watching the recent activity in Masalla," says Lord Kieran. "The supposition, of course, is that there has been Eldritch activity. What this means is anyone’s guess."

Tania, however, has been exploring old tomes and speaking with learned sages. "I’m getting an inkling," she says. "It’s like a puzzle that I’m putting together. But the final clues lie in Moraithe."

Why Moraithe? Because two passages ago, six of the supposed Eldritch ships were sighted on a small isle to the north of the province. Sages were brought to the sight, and suspicions seemed confirmed – the design of the ships matches most precisely that of drawings and records of Eldritch vessels.

"It’s clear," says Tirian, "that something is on the horizon."

Now citizens of Moraithe are reporting encounters with strange, black-haired, pale-skinned people who seem ‘very advanced intellectually and technologically’, according to one witness.

While the Masallan encounters seemed to be isolated to the wilderness, in Moraithe the Eldritch (for we can no longer doubt that is who we’re dealing with) are not loathe to approach people.

Since we’d like to get to the root of this mystery, it’s to Moraithe we go. We regret that you’ll miss your Oracles for a few passages at least, but when we return, we promise a full report on both the Moraithian and Masallan Eldritch occurrences.

Until then, enjoy the growing cold, and think of us as we toil on your behalf in the merciless heat of Moraithe.

Jovially Yours,

Lord Kieran       Tania       Tirian
