Women's names, just like men's names, come from the influences of all the Known Lands. Among the nobility, in many of the provinces, women take the surname of their fathers or husbands, and so first names tend to be of sentimental value, as it is the one part of her name a woman will always have for her own. Elsewhere, women's names come from their mother's name, from the natural world, or from various cultural influences which have affected naming practices over the last few hundred years.
