Severity-
1-60 Mild 50% chance very good wind. 50% gusty, opposing winds. Rain or snow. No sun. 1-5 ft. waves
61-90 Strong 10% very good winds. 5% chance of electrical storm. 10% chance of unusual occurrence. Slashing rain, gusting winds, heavy snow or light sleet. 5-10 ft. waves
91-98 Tempest 40% electrical. 30% unusual. Heavy rains, sleet, snow, gusting winds.
10-15 ft. waves. Chance of taking water or breaking low per hour:
Caravel: 20% Pirate: 10% Merchant: 5% Galleon: 1%
99-00 Hurricane 80% electrical. 50% unusual. 15-20 ft. waves
Caravel: 30% Pirate: 20% Merchant: 10% Galleon: 8%
Electrical-
The chart below is to determine, per hour, if lightning strikes a ship or person. If a strike is determined, there is an 80% chance that the ship is struck, and a 20% chance that a person is struck.
