Spell Description - This spell invokes a random level of rain. The rain will arrive within a half of an hour, and the caster should roll a d10 to determine the type of storm. The caster can modify their roll in either direction by the number of their rank.

9-10 tempest with lightning


Water Breathe

Spell Description - This allows the subject(s) to breathe both normal air and under water. The subject can also, with this spell, swim to any depth without ill effects (though it will still get dark!)


Water Walk

Spell Description - Allows the subject to walk upon liquid. Waves may still upset balance, but even if the subject falls they will not break through the water.

Spell Description - This creates a burst of flame around the chosen target. Ignites flammables and does 1d10 damage/rank.


Extinguish

Spell Description - This extinguishes all flame within the distance of the spell's range or less.


Tame

Spell Description - This tames a feral or wild animal so that it will follow the caster about, feed from his or her hand, and obey simple commands. The animal will retain its personality, however, and will not defend the caster to the death or anything of that nature. This spell serves well to calm frightened animals or to befriend dangerous ones.

Spell Description - The caster can accurately predict the weather for a number of days = to the caster's rank. (Rank 0 = today only).

Spell Description - The caster must touch a track, and the trail of tracks will 'glow' for the caster, so that he or she can follow them over hard ground, through shallow water, etc.


Jewel

Spell Description - This spell takes a gemstone (this is not to be confused with the diamond used for the reagent, which may be a rough diamond) up to 1 lb. in weight, and cuts it into a brilliant cut or a cabochon with no wasted stone. (The stone is formed, not actually cut)

Armor of Stone

Spell Description - Raises a sheathe of light, wicked-looking stone armor about the subject(s). Gives a protection rating of P 8, S 10, C 8, and increases the subject's unarmed by 20% and +4 to damage base.


Featherstone

Reagents- a stone to throw, a feather


Spell Description - The caster touches a rock that weighs up to 10 lbs./rank, and the stone will shrink to the size of her or his fist. The stone can then be thrown as a weapon. It will regain its full size immediately after leaving the caster's hand, but will keep upon its trajectory. The caster should use his or her basic % to hit to determine if the stone strikes the target. The stone will do damage equal to 1d10 + 1 damage point for each pound the stone weighs.


Tempest

Spell Description - This spell raises up a raging whirlwind strong enough to pick up chairs, knock over people or carts, scatter small items, etc.


Flametouch

Spell Description - The caster's touch ignites flammables into a camp-fire sized blaze and does 1d10 damage per rank.


Icetouch

Spell Description - This spell freezes up to 1 barrel of liquid/rank, including strong spirits, brine, or otherwise difficult-to-freeze liquids. If the caster touches a creature, the touch does 3d10 damage per rank.


Commune

Spell Description - Allows the subject to communicate with plants and animals, as well as stones or even the wind or a stream's water. They can also communicate with fae and see into the Fae Realm to notice nearby faerie creatures.


Affect Element

Spell Description - Adds or removes water or air to an element, affecting its state. Can change mud to hard soil, ground to mud, water can be made to evaporate or freeze, and fire can be made to flare up or burn very low.


Elemental Shield

Duration- 1/2 hr. per rank
Number Affecting- 20' long by 20' high wall/rank
Reagents- either a bit of stone, a feather, 1 oz. of sulfur, or 3 oz. of water.


Spell Description - This raises an impressive wall sculpted out of the chosen element. Fire, water, and wind walls will do 1d20 damage to anyone who touches them, and all four types of walls can absorb 200 points of damage before they can be broken through and destroyed.


Weapon of Fire and Ice

Spell Description - This creates a sword coated either in flames or frost. Each is +15% to hit, gets an additional 4 points added to Damage Base, and will ignite flammables or freeze water on contact.

Bolt of Flame

Spell Description - A bolt of flame streaks toward the target, (the target will get a defense roll) doing 1d20 damage per rank and igniting any flammables.


Mold Element

Reagents- 4 oz. dragon's blood resin, walnut shell, piece of petrified wood


Spell Description -
The caster can shape or mold the shape of any element within range. Thus a piece of ground can be formed into a wall or tower, wind can be made to rise or swirl, water can be made to ooze out from a stream and take the form of a large humanoid, etc. If the caster molds stone into a certain shape, it can be left permanently (or if a hole is dug, etc.) But if the caster chooses to concentrate, he or she can animate the molded element, making it move about, pick things up, or take on a human-like form.
In addition, the caster can manipulate the elemental material as per Affect Element, so that, for instance, air can be made to turn into a dense fog which can then be tightly swirled into a man-like shape which can spew forth wind and attack others with no fear of being harmed.


Tsunami

Reagents- wooden spoon


Spell Description - The caster must stand looking out at a body of water whose far side cannot be seen. The spell than creates a wave which begins at the horizon and streaks toward the chosen shoreline (the caster must be able to see the shoreline). The wave will arrive in 10-15 minutes and will be large enough to destroy ships, crush docks, destroy buildings near the shore and damage them inland up to 200' (on a normally sloped shoreline).


Water of Life

Number Affecting- 1 gallon/rank
Reagents- 3 oz. ginseng root, an alexandrite stone


Spell Description - The caster touches a container of normal water and infuses it with healing energy. 1 dose (3 oz.) will cure all wounds, diseases (except the fatal four which will be healed at 90% if the person has been inflicted for 1 day, 80% if inflicted for two days, etc.), any afflictions such as deafness, blindness, or insanity, and will bring someone back to life if they have been dead less than 10 days.


Cavern

CT- 10

Spell Description - This spell digs a self-supporting tunnel at 10' per minute per rank. The tunnel is permanent. All excess stone or soil is made more dense and used to support the tunnel, which will have smooth, very strong walls, ceiling, and floor. This spell is good for mining, because it will carefully carve itself around any openings or crystal formations, so that when the tunnel is entered, the caster might find gem pockets or natural tunnels branching off.
