Dispelling Magic
It should be noted that a magician can, at will, dispel any spell they have cast. This will negate any effects which are being sustained by the spell. This does not heal damage done by a spell, make conjured objects go back to wherever they came from, etc.
Only one form of magic, Enchantment, allows the magician to dispel another caster's spell (the spell is called Disperse). However, all magicians learn a simple word and gesture meant to dispel another's casting. It is not, however, often effective.
If the spell is your rank, you have a one-time chance of 40% to dispel another's spell.
If the spell is below your rank, add 10% for each rank below yours it is.
If the spell is one rank above your spell, you have a one-time 10% chance to dispel it.
If the spell is more than one rank above your rank, your chance is an even 2%.
