Lightning

Spell Description - This spell manifests a powerful electrical charge which emerges from the caster's outstretched hand and shoots forth to strike the chosen target (who will get a defense roll). The bolt will do 2d10 damage per rank, with no bonuses for armor.

Summon Rain

Spell Description - This spell summons clouds which will sprinkle down with a soft rain. The rain will appear within a half of an hour.

Storm

Spell Description - This spell brings clouds with preternatural swiftness (within ten minutes) and brings a storm whose ferocity is based on the caster's rank. At 0-3 it brings a typical thunderstorm, a 4-6 it brings a torrential downpour, and rank 7 and above it brings a tempest with swirling winds and repetitive ground-striking lightning. Higher ranking casters can, of course, tone the storm down to a lesser potency.

Summon Elemental

Spell Description - This spell summons an elemental of a random type and potency. If a caster is surrounded by a particular element (drifting at sea, in a cavern, or near a balefire, for instance), that particular type of elemental will likely be summoned. Also, if the spell is cast in the same locale more than once, the same elemental will likely appear. (See Elementals in the Creature Compendium under Fae Creatures for more information). The elemental will usually be kindly toward the caster, but is not necessarily bound to do as they ask.

Spell Description - Allows the subject to breathe under water. It does not inhibit the breathing of normal air.

Spell Description - This allows the subject to move magically through the water with great speed and agility. The subject can move at two times their speed rating on land.

Spell Description - This spell adds weight to a victim who is immersed in water (the water condenses around their legs or rear portions). It effectively adds 5 lbs. of weight /rank.

Spell Description - This makes a subject immersed in water lighter (by collecting air around their legs or rear portions). It effectively subtracts 5 lbs. of weight per rank.

Spell Description - The caster sends a burst of flame from their hand which will ignite combustibles and do physical damage. The burst does 1d10 damage/rank.

Spell Description - All sources of flame within range are instantly extinguished.

Forest Sight

Spell Description - The victim must either see an animal or take up a piece of a dead animal. If the animal is seen, the spell must be cast within an hour after the sighting. Upon casting, the caster will adopt the visual capabilities of the animal, allowing distant or night vision, or in the cases of some creatures, such as dire wolves or ravens, even vision into the Fae Realm.

Flametouch

Spell Description - The caster simply touches an ignitable and a candle-sized flame will spring into being, igniting the substance. The caster can also use the spell to gain temporary immunity to flame -- it will prevent damage from all but dragonflame, but the immunity lasts for only a single quint.

Icetouch

Spell Description - The caster's touch will freeze up to a gallon of liquid/rank (excepting powerful spirits or other liquids which resist freezing. These will simply be made extremely cold). The spell can also be used to touch a victim, in which case it will do 2d10 damage/rank if bare flesh is touched.

Commune

Spell Description - The caster can 'speak' with and understand the languages of plants and animals, allowing simple conversation. It also opens the gateways to the Fae Realm, increasing the chance that the caster will encounter fae. It will allow telepathic communication with any fae encountered.

Vortex

Spell Description - This creates, in deep water, a whirlpool that measures 5' diameter/rank. The whirlpool will suck anything down into the water that measures less than its diameter.

Affect Element

Spell Description - This allows the caster to change the state of an element. For instance, water can be made into ice or steam, mud can be dried into stone-like consistency, or flames can be made to dim or brighten. The humidity in the air can also be readily changed. In effect, it mixes more or less of an element in with others to affect the state of the target element.

Climate Change

Spell Description - The caster can shift the general climate of an area to an impressive degree. Thus a temperate clime can be made tropical, a tropical climate desert-like, or a temperate winter climate can be made arctic. This spell does not change flora or fauna, but only temperature, precipitation, and humidity. Of course, if the climate is changed for a prolonged period, this may adversely affect native species.

Ice Spikes

Spell Description - The caster manifests a barrage of icicles which fly outward in a cone-shape as far as the spell's range. At the end of the range, the cone will always measure 10' across. Victims get a defense roll at -20%. Anyone who fails their defense roll will suffer 1-10 damage /rank.

Elemental Shield

Spell Description - The caster uses any element available (a campfire, the ground, a stream, the air, etc.) to manifest a swirling shield of that element that measures 5' long by 5' high per rank. Anyone who contacts the shield will suffer 1d20 damage. The shield lasts until the spell ends or the shield suffers the equivalent of 50 damage points.

Water of Life

Spell Description - The caster takes a small amount of water (4 oz. or so) and turns it into a healing draught which will heal all wounds and disease present in a victim (excepting any of the fatal four diseases). The water will even bring a dead person back to life, if they have been dead less than four hours or so.

Spell Description - Existing rain is turned into flame. Will ignite combustibles and do 1d6 damage/quint to anyone exposed.

Armor of Stone

Spell Description - The caster creates a movable sheathe of wicked-looking, lightweight stone around the subject. It gives a protection rating of P-6, S-8, C-6, and raises the subject's unarmed fighting stats by 15% to hit and +3 to damage base.

Quake

Number Affecting- area of 10' diameter per rank

Spell Description - This causes the ground to buckle and crack as concentric waves spread out from the central area selected by the caster. Any structures in the area will topple down, people will lose their balance, cobblestone streets will be destroyed, etc.
