You’re ready to determine your age! You simply decide how old you want to be. Usually you are entering into the life of your character at a point when they are undergoing a transition – leaving familiar territory to strike out on some sort of adventure, whether it be to another city, another profession, or another province.

No matter what age you are, you’re going to have some sort of background behind you. The recommended age to start a character at is between seventeen and thirty. This is the time when most Caradorians are shifting their lifestyles, and also represents a range of ages where the body is fully developed (or nearly so) and is not so old that any loss of strength is setting in. The range of ages below is not comprehensive – talk to your ST if you want to play a character outside this range, and they can adjust things as they see fit. The Experience Adjustment is the number you will multiply your experience roll by under the Experience Chart. Statistic adjustments for strength, agility, and dexterity are subtracted from your final score on your character sheet.  Remember to do this as your last step.
