Communications between the provinces consists mainly of commerce, and thus the intricacies of trade, the openness of ports, and the welfare of other provinces are of great concern to those lands engaging in trade.

Most ports are considered either open or closed -- those who are open trade freely, while those who are closed do not. Furthermore, it should be understood that most provinces engage in free trade, meaning that merchants buy and sell at their own discretion, and that the provinces do not get any more involved than the implementation of taxes (if that). The free trade philosophy leaves competition and the tides of supply and demand in the hands of individuals, and thus far the system seems well suited to the demands. Jedda Felsuin, however, engages in governed trade, meaning that the higher governing bodies determine what will be exported, what imported, and by whom. Thus traders who wish to do business with Jedda have a bit more learning to do than if they just want to buy some oranges in Moraithe and sell them in Aranor.

The listing that follows in this tome is of common exports and imports. When prices are given, it is the approximate value in the Old World of such items -- these prices change depending on where the item is from and various political and economic factors, as well as the season. But it shall serve as a guideline, at least.
